Lizzie Meal!

Aah, what im about to relate is an interesting one i’ve come across..(cant say the same for the startled passenger flyin with British Airways..as it may have ended up provin a lil too spicy for him).
Im not sure how many people are fans of ‘meals’ served on Airlines..yet imagine touslin thru ur food on a flight and finding something totally unexpected and unacceptable?!

Here’s what happened a few weeks back; A businessman, Ashok Sharma was travelling by BA, Bangalore to Delhi, and was served a two-inch lizard nicely cooked in his Biryani!! Though somethin like this happenin is not acceptable, it is also highly unlikely one could have eaten somethin like that without realisin what it was. I just end up feelin sorry for the poor lizard who not only fell prey to this one but all the same nicely got cooked in the meal. Hmm, seein how Mr Sharma may have reacted or the chaos following what happened then may have been noteworthy. The airline however admitted in a statement that it had launched an inquiry and investigation into how this had transpired. They also arranged to send ‘the biryani’ for testing amid claims made by airline officials of "sabotage" at LSG Sky Chefs, a catering firm who supplied the food for the Bangalore to New Delhi connection on the fateful night.
In an attempt to calm Mr Sharma down, the airline offered VIP treatment on his arrival in Delhi and a car to take him to his hotel. Barrin all attempts, he refused to ‘hand over’ THE lizard and it was claimed he had decided to bring it back to Delhi to highlight BA’s negligence to the media. He strongly felt this was a gross act of slackness and was planning to file a case in the consumer court on returning to Bangalore.

Sabotage or negligence..knowin court cases, what turn or how long this may take, no one knows..trust the tabloids to keep us informed. For now, since this is a health n safety issue, BA’s just ended up bein in a soup n this time only for the controversial, wrong reasons..the type of publicity I reckon they may not need at the moment!
